Mantra Advise

Subject: Mantras for doing Mantras Date: Sunday, January 04, 2009 3:37 PM.

Namaskar to all learned people. I am for some quite some time having this great urge to do Mantras

and meditation for some strange reason. But whenever I sit down to do mantras my mind start to wander and waver. I feel quiet annoyed by this. Could anyone kindly proscribe any specific Mantras to rectify this? I really want to improve my concentration, clarity of thoughts and intelligence as I lack all of these. If someone could tell me which mantras are best?

Suited for me, I would greatly appreciate. My details are Date 07/01/80, 1.58 am, Ahmadabad. Thank you very much for your kindness.

Dear M Kumar,

You clearly have objective in mind of having improvement in concentration, clarity and intelligence.

First thing Mantra JAPA and MEDITATION are different activity in spiritual practices.

You have stated you have great urge to do mantra.
You want specific mantra to rectify so that mind no longer wander and waver.

Therefore please understand, the nature of mind is to wander .So far as mind exist it shall continue to wander. Mind is flow of thought.

However mind can be controlled by practice and non attachment ( Abhyas and vairyvaga)

Traditionally Gayatri mantra is highest mantra and it is best to get initiated into it. You are from PRAYAGA Teerth and if you are in India You can easily get initiation.

I caste prasna to now the cause of urge in you.. The cause is desire to excel in professional life and peace in heart.

Therefore My advise is as above.

I have taken data supplied by you as 7 January 1980 and birth time after midnight of 6 and 7 jan past 1 hour and 58 minutes.

In navamsa Sun ( Amatya karka) is debilitated in IX and spiritual interests are not activated , but you can also do japa of ÿaE rvye nm> hrau ravaye namaù

To achieve objectives stated by you. This is jyotirmantra for you, taking your Ascendant rising into account. It will impel your intelligence, if you do regular japa at Sunrise.

Please be sure mantra could appear small but deserve purity and sincerity.

The problem which you face in meditation is coming from planets in Badhak including Rahu which is co-lord of the 5th house, which at the same time aspect the 4th house of mind.At the same time Shani is atmakaraka and is placed alone in Karakamsa which indicate that you are very spiritual person. So, I believe that you should find a proper Guru and get yourself a diksha. Rahu is bhatrukaraka and is placed in 5th from Karakamsa, but is not having rashi dristi on 9th house from Karakasma, so that will not be easy. However, from april you will get into Guru antardasha and Guru forms a sambhanda yoga for diksha. Budha is dispositor of Rahu so some of your friend will
take you to desired Guru (in the second part of 2009). Till then, you should meditate on bija ” HAUM”. If you wish, contact me privately, and I will give you one more

ZORAN: Why do you take Amatya karaka for meditation. To my knowledge it has to do only with Atmakaraka and Ishtadevata. Here, you are taking Dharmadevata, which has a role to teach you truth in the world, not in the mind.

ZORAN: I Agree that this mantra is superb, yet as you stated, it has to improve the intelligence. He has Guru in 12th from KARAKA LAGNA, so he will see God through 12th house. He has to go somewhere in the Ashrama, not necessary to improve the lagna. (Remember the lesson in JAimini with Shri Aurobindo’s chart)
The mantra you have given is very good for Lagna, and for Jyotisha as sadhana,and his Lagnesha is in 4th house with digbala disposited by Atmakaraka which indicates that he indeed is spiritual soul.Further, Surja is subhapati as Amatyakaraka,so the perfect
stage is set for Karma Yogi.But in that case, Bhagavate mantra of Shri Ram should be done.This further implies that he should take a diskha (Surya is in 3rd house).

This mantra has a bija in it, therefore needs initiation. In case you do not choose initiation of Gyatri and are in search of alternative, please get it from someone {competent guru} or you may contact any jyotish guru in case you decide to do japa of this mantra.
Please be sure mantra could appear small but deserve purity and sincerity. The time of Japa of this mantra is sharp at Sunrise.

I am blessed and happy to see your mail addressed to me on this thread.

I am sorry for responding late as, I was working on “Cosmograce” website That is under re-construction to accommodate study schedule and materials.

I did not share data of prashna; which I did before posting my advice.

Since I did prasna I got some idea about, karma so far done by native in this life.

I assumed AL instead of arudh from number , it being a web question. Sparstyanga rasi was not considered important for prasna was done to asses necessatiy of finding Mantra. I considered necessary what type of Karmaphala is under fructification currently , that is giving urge to do mantr and japa .

If you look at my mail, i have clearly stated that what native has in his mind based on my finding.

After stating, I had advised Him Gayatri and advised deeksha , for the reasons , you have also seen and stated from Natal chart.

Yes His time is yet to come to enter into spiritual pursuit. Prasna kriya told me the current state of Native. He has great potential but his dharma sthan needs focus.

Now about technical pointers.

This was alarming statement for me.

Are we both working on same data? Saturn is 3 Degree 27Minutes in virgo.You are banking on aquarious Navamsa I suppose?

Your reasoning is right. I wanted to hint at problem. Sun is universal soul you know already. For Native as dharmesh in Navamsa chart in debilitated causes obstructions to atma in this life ( exchange of venus AK and Sun AmK in D9 )

Is it really so? Analogy of Shri Aurobindos does apply to this chart? I will re-listen audio and check up my notes. To my mind both gurus and shisyasa are together in dharma bhava hence Initiation of Gyatri is to open gates of path of spirituality to him.

Native might have wavering mind problem since childhood and must have affected his studies his social environment also.

He is hardly ready for doing any mantra. In fact He must have been advised mantra by others also. He would have not started, or if started must have failed.

Why?

Ketu is very powerful in V house in rasi and very powerful in navamsa also. Which other mantra will work than those of SUN and or Gyatri.

By the way chart shows Native has interest in astrology also sooner or later.
4. Why do you take Amatya karaka for meditation?

Yes meditation has no connection with AmK. But I focused on what native wanted and why instead of What He Deserves to have.

But dear Zoran his AK is Venus and not Saturn.

Which Navamsa you got for the native?

Lastly , I feel obliged , that posting caught valued attention of gurus and gave an opportunity to learn and contemplate further.

Thank you very much for your reply. The professional and personal lives are so hectic, I only got to reply to your e mail now. You are accurate in you analysis of my state of mind right now. One of my main purpose of starting Mantras was to excel in professional life. On personal front I want to become a better person by doing some good karmas.
It is not surprising to hear that my spiritual pursuit has still not started because only thing I worry right now is how I could earn more money for myself and my family. However, my interest in astrology has increased tenfold for last 6 to 7 months.
Be kind to explain how I could initiate the gayatri mantra as it is not possible to get a guru diksha where I live right now. Kindly permit me to stay in touch with you outside this as I have a great desire to learn from someone like you.
